Dear citizens of Magee,
Last night and into the early morning hours, several vehicles were broken into in a few subdivisions throughout the city. Multiple items, including multiple firearms, were stolen. Some suspects will break in if they see something of value, but most of the time, they simply pull door latches looking for unlocked vehicles.
Please stop leaving guns in unlocked vehicles. This makes it easier for criminals to access weapons. Lock your vehicles, and if possible, do not leave firearms inside to prevent more guns from ending up in the wrong hands.
Chief Denis J. Borges
Magee Police Department
