Sebreya Lee, a senior basketball player at Magee High School, has bee named one of the Clarion Ledger’s athlete’s of the week.
During Lee’s past two games against rival Mendenhall and Ridgeland, she averaged 24 points nine rebounds, five assists and four and a half steals. These stats are what earned her the player/athlete of the week for the Clarion Ledger.
Lee is leader for the Trojans. Coach Eric Williams stated “Sevreya does not show up for practice to give half of what she has. She shows up to give everything she has. When she first came to Magee. I told her she needs to change her gas from unleaded to premium if she wants to play on the next level. It is going to take being humble, hungry, and being the hardest worker in they gym. She accepted the challenge and succeeded.”
Magee is expecting even better things this season from the standout senior.
