Simpson County Technical Center (SCTC) is proud to feature its Agriculture and Natural Resources Program.

A two-year program, Agriculture and Natural Resources is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts and principles of the modern agriculture and natural resources industry. Emphasis is based on career and leadership skills; basic principles of plant, animal and soil science; and basic mechanical technologies in the field. Through this program, students are exposed to numerous careers in science, engineering, farming and education.

Under the instruction of SCTC teacher and Future Farmers of America (FFA) advisor Patricia Braddock, students receive hands-on mentorship in their supervised agricultural experiences.

SCTC recently had four students to successfully compete in livestock competitions at the 2022 Mississippi State Fair in Jackson. Those students were Sy Sullivan, Paxten Wolken, Ayden Wolken and Owen Wolken.
