The Cougars played their last regular season district game on Friday, February 1, against their bitter rivals the Lamar Raiders. While both teams played, a very excited and passionate student section rallied behind the Cougars. The varsity girls, who won 29-25 on Friday night, finished second in regular season. The varsity boys, who won 62-38, also finished second in regular season district play. The stage is now set for the District Tournament, to be hosted by Lamar, which will begin the week of February 10-16. The District Tournament will then set the standings for the State Tournament which will be hosted by Simpson Academy. In other Cougar news, the Junior Varsity Boys and Girls will be playing in their District Tournament next Saturday, February 9. On February 7, the Cougars will host the Taylorsville Tartars for Senior night. Good luck to the Cougars as the begin the playoffs!
