Simpson County Academy has announced the Top 3 students for the Class of 2022.

Simpson County Academy Valedictorian is Caroline White. Caroline is the daughter of Johnny and Jennifer White of Mendenhall.

Some of her high school accomplishments include the following: Homecoming Queen, Miss Simpson County Academy, Most Intellectual, Most Beautiful in SCA’s Beauty and Beau Pageant, Student Body President, Honor Society President, Mississippi Scholar, Varsity Cheer Captain, Student of the Week, and Most Popular. She has been a class officer and on the Headmaster’s List since the 7th grade.  She has also been a member of the Student Council and Honor Society since the 7th grade. After graduating high school, she plans to attend Mississippi State University and major in Accounting.

Salutatorian is Zy’Keria Cole. Zy’Keria is the daughter of Myricks & Jermika Cole from Magee, MS.

Throughout her years of high school, she has received numerous subject area awards, along with being Student of the Week and a National Heisman Scholarship School Winner. She has also participated in ALA Girls State, Lions Club, Mayor’s Youth Council, and the HOBY Leadership Summit. Zy’Keria has been a member of Student Council, Beta Club, National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, FBLA, and Phi Theta Kappa. Throughout her softball career, she has been awarded Scholar Athlete, MAIS District MVP, All-MAIS Fastpitch Team, MVP (Offensive & Defensive), 1st Team All-District, Bomb Squad, Team Captain, and both the Lady Trojan and Cougar award. In the fall, Zy’Keria plans to further her academic and athletic career at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, and later attend The University of Alabama to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.

Historian is Scott Maddox.Scott is the son of Keith and Joanna Maddox. He is a member of Corinth Baptist Church where he is an active member of the youth group. During his high school career, Scott has earned numerous subject area awards, served on student council and has been on the “All A” honor roll. He is a member of the Mississippi Scholars, MAIS Honors Society, ACT 25 Club, and Headmaster’s List at SCA. He was also awarded Star Student of SCA.

Scott is a member of the varsity basketball team, golf team and tennis team at SCA. His basketball team won two state championships and one over-all championship. He and his twin sister, Megan, have also placed second in state playing mixed doubles tennis twice, this year and their 9 th grade year. He was recently named Most Intellectual, Most Musical, and Most Likely to Succeed by his student body. He will be attending the University of Southern Mississippi where he was awarded membership to the Honors College and selected as a recipient of the Honors College Discovery Scholarship. There he will pursue a degree in biological science/pre-med and then continue to medical school.
