Simpson Academy played Magnolia Heights on Saturday, February 11, 2023. It was a tough game, but the Cougars pulled through. The first quarter ended in favor of Simpson (11-7). Magnolia Heights was not going down without a fight, so they took the lead in the second quarter (16-17). After Halftime, the Cougars were ready to make a big comeback. They ended the quarter 31-19. Simpson’s 12-point lead quickly turned into a 19-point lead in the fourth quarter. The Cougars won 46-27.
Simpson will be playing in the MAIS State Tournament this week. It will be held at Pillow Academy, in Greenwood, Mississippi.
