The State of Mississippi promotes a sales tax holiday for back to school purchases.  The holiday begins at 12:01 AM on Friday, July 29th, and end at midnight Saturday, July 30th.

The sales tax holiday is a temporary time when sales taxes are not paid or collected on specific products or services.

The Sales Tax Holiday will apply to all consumer purchases of clothing, footwear, and school supplies with sales prices of less than $100 per article.
