Ruth E. Gehrig passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019, at Hillcrest Nursing Center. She was born on March 13, 1931, to her parents, the late Alvin Lewis Fenning and Belva (Woodruff) Fenning in Indiana.
Ruth was a retired art teacher. She was a member of Mendenhall United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Julie Bates (Conway), Susan Holifield (Larry); three brothers, Lewis Butler Fenning, Alvin Dick Fenning, Troy Lee Fenning; one sister, Helen Maxine Marbach and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Richard Paul Gehrig.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS from 9:00 am until 11:00. The service will begin at 11:00 am in the chapel. Interment will follow in Mendenhall City Cemetery with Rev. Kurt Appel officiating.
