Grandparents have an extraordinary opportunity to influence and forever shape the faith and lives of their grandchildren. Some take full of advantage of this opportunity and my grandmother was one of those! On July 14th, my grandmother, Ruby Lee Anderson Ware finished her race on earth. For 89 years she fought the good fight and kept the faith. She was one of the hardest working, intelligent, “Good Lord” loving, instruction giving (if only I had a nickel for every time she “instructed me”,) good ole country girls I have ever known. She passionately loved her ole “stomping grounds” only second to her family who were her absolute pride and joy. If you knew her or had just met her once you knew this about her. We will greatly miss her good natured, family vacation loving, sweet self and although we mourn our loss we celebrate her gain and praise our Lord for a wonderful 89 years of life and love.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Lilly Anderson; Husband, Vernon C. Ware; Son, Douglas V Ware; Brothers, Howard Anderson, Lewis Anderson, Odell Anderson, Bill Anderson, Bernice Anderson; Sister,Shirley Anderson.
Survivors include her Daughter-in-law , Frances Berry Ware; Grandchild, Jenny Phillps (Chad); Brothers, Joel Anderson (Shirley), Marshall Anderson; Sisters, Zelda Bankston (Robert), Bobbie Jean Nichols (Jimmie); Great Grand Child, Gracie Phillips.
