Ruby Inez Thompson Miley, 98 of Bay Springs, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Jasper General Hospital in Bay Springs, Mississippi. She was born on Saturday, August 8, 1925, in Smith County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 22 E 4th Avenue, Bay Springs, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. The burial will follow in Rock Bluff Cemetery in Morton, Mississippi. Bro. Ed King and Bro. James Sprayberry will officiate. Special music will be provided by Ms. Kalyn Bales and Mrs. Laura Jo Wedgeworth.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. 601-764-2181

Ms. Ruby was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church in Bay Springs, Mississippi.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

She was very devoted to being the help mate to her husband’s ministry.  She had a passion for helping and making sure people was welcomed to the community and helping in her church.  She enjoyed shopping, working in her yard, and most of all caring and loving her family.  She will be greatly missed by all of loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wesley Purvis Miley; son, Alton Wayne Miley; father, Wallace F. Thompson; mother, Myra P. Thompson; brothers, John Thompson, James Thompson and Dannie Ray Thompson; and sisters, Wilma Thompson Gibson, Ida Lou Thompson Stuart and Bernice Thompson James.

Survivors include her two children Allen Miley (Paula) of Clinton, MS Barbara Miley Hutto of Bay Springs, MS; five grandchildren, Karen Hutto Hardwell (Kevin) of Rome, GA, William Hutto (Jessica) of Richland, MS, Matthew Miley (Carrie) of Clinton, MS, Rachel Miley Finley (Aaron) of Madison, MS and Miranda Dixon (Will) of Gluckstadt, MS; eighteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
