Ruby Green Street entered her eternal heavenly home on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at her residence. She was born on January 2, 1951, at Magee General Hospital.
Ruby lived an extraordinary life defined by her love for adventure, fun, and her dear family and friends. She had an unmatched zest for life, and her smile, laugh, and personality could light up any room.
Ruby was loved by many and had a servant’s heart. She was quick to help anyone in need. She deeply loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and wished that all her family and friends would join her in heaven one day.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Chestine Wilborn (Tiner) Kennedy of Magee, MS, and Lila Louise Bishop of Raleigh, MS.; special brother William Green of Magee, MS; sister, Betty Fowler Green of Waynesboro, MS; uncle, Hines Gerome Bishop; granddaughter, Ashley Danielle Cantrell, and son-in-law, Will Hux.
She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-six years, Howard Street; four children, Tina Hux, Bobby Joe Green, Billy Joe Green (Crystal), and Mitzie Cantrell (Charles); fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Ruby shared a very special bond with her first grandchild, Brittney Kemp (Jason) whom she raised and her great-granddaughter, Winter Rain Kemp.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, extended friends, and family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS, from 10:00 to 12:00 pm. The graveside service will be held at Sharon Cemetery, with interment to follow.
