(8/31/1948 – 7/18/2024)

Roger Don Tanner, 75 of Mount Olive, MS went to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 18, 2024. He was born Tuesday, August 31, 1948 in Magee, MS.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mt. Olive, 205 S 4th St. Mt. Olive, MS 39119. A Memorial service will follow at 5:00pm.  Kade Landrum will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Roger was an avid outdoorsman, he loved all things hunting and fishing but especially deer hunting. He loved his grandchildren like crazy. He was strong willed and very determined. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His family will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Tanner; mother, Juanita Fedrick Mix; and late sister, Betty Campbell.

He is survived by his daughters, Nita Tanner Breazeale (Chad) of Prentiss, MS and Amber Tanner McCraw (Jason) of Mize, MS; grandchildren, Brooklyn Jeanette Breazeale, Tanner Paisley Breazeale, Aspen Le`Ann McCraw, Templynn Breann McCraw and Brynley Tate McCraw; god-son; Wayne “Rufus” Hollie (Tammy) of Collins, MS; brother, Billy Tanner (Tammy) of Bloomington, IL; nephews, Jimmy Tanner, Koty Tanner and Kasey Tanner;  and niece, Kloey Tanner.
