Friday night brought back some memories for Magee and Simpson folks.   I was not in Magee during the Ride the Block days of years back; however, it was a beautiful night to bring back the memories of yesteryears and show the younger folks what it is all about.

The first Friday night of each month for the next 6months will be a Ride the Block night for downtown Magee.

Sportsplex is not a “babysitter” for teenagers

Beginning at 5pm, March 2nd, was a time to meet and eat in the parking lot next to the Magee Community House.  Chick-fil-a came with 200 sandwiches and sold out in less than an hour.  McAllister’s were set up with their famous tea and bags of cookies.  Funny Faces concession stand was selling several food items including some good looking funnel cakes.

With the Ride the Block traffic as well as the newly opened “The Vault” Restaurant on Main Street customers, many “Magee-ans” said this is what main street used to look like on a weekend night.

Thanks to Tim Culpepper of Circle X Imagery for the night views from the sky.
