Richard Earl Shepherd, 66 of Braxton, MS passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born Thursday, December 25, 1958 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Burial will follow in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Braxton, MS. Bro. Trent Grantham and Bro. Jimmy Jackson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Shepherd and Ruth Delancy Shepherd.
