Reggie Blackledge Named Magee Municipal Judge

Collins attorney Reggie Blackledge was appointed the Magee Municipal Judge replacing retired Judge Eugene Knight during Executive Session at the July 3, 2018  City of Magee Board of Aldermen meeting.

Blackledge graduated from the Jones County Community Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in 1988. He attended Jones County Junior College from 1985-1987. In 1997 he earned his B.S. from the William Carey College. He earned his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College in 2001.

• 2012-Present: Municipal prosecutor for the City of Collins, Mississippi
• 2012-Present: City attorney, Bassfield, Mississippi
• 2004-Present: Youth court and sanity commitment public defender, Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi
• 2009-2012: Public defender, Simspon County, Mississippi
• 2008-2009: Assistant public defender, Simpson County, Mississippi
• 2007-2010: Sanity commitment public defender, Covington County, Mississippi
• 2005-2005: Justice court judge, Northern District of Covington County, Mississippi
• 2005-2005: Municipal judge, Mt. Olive, Mississippi
• 2002-2009: Municipal prosecutor, Collins, Mississippi

In addition to his legal career, Blackledge has authored a book titled Lines of Gray. He also writes poetry. Prior to attending law school, he worked for ten years as a radiologic technologist.
