Many people are hurting in our community. Sometimes, I know who they are…sometimes, I’m not told. Always know if you would like to be included on our prayer list…just email or text me. We want to pray for our people.

Special prayers for Kay Arnold. Kay, former employee of Magee General Hospital, has advanced cancer which is spreading. According to her husband Paul, Kay and the family needs our prayers. Kay is a special lady with a heart of gold. She loves and adores her family. Remember Kay and Paul.

Gloria Lucas is scheduled for her third surgery this week. Following an attack in her home several months ago, Gloria has struggled to regain her health and strength. Surgery is another step in her healing process. Gloria is the owner of the McAlpin House in Magee.

Happy 14th Birthday to Larkin!!!

Happy 14th Birthday to Larkin!!!

Scott Maddox, student at Simpson Academy, was injured in a freak accident at basketball camp last week. He suffered a severe break to his leg/ankle. Scott’s parents are Keith and Joanna Maddox. According to Joanna’s post on FB, Scott is on the long road to recovery with a determination to be stronger than ever. I imagine Scott has difficult days ahead. Remember this young man.

Parker Pierce continues to have treatments. The treatments are very strong and make Parker sick. Due to steroids that are given as part of his treatment, his face and joints swell. Ya’ll know what? I am good to pray in the beginning…but often forget the path someone is walking. Keep Parker on your prayer list. He is able to get out some if he is feeling well enough…but often is house bound. Parker’s address is 726 Simpson Hwy 149 Magee, MS 39111. A card or note would be a great way to reach out to Parker and his family.

I do not have details on the death of Monte McDonald, former Magee High School graduate and football player. I understand he was hit by an 18 wheeler in Jones county. Please remember this family. The shock of a death can almost cripple a family. I know. Please please lift the family and all his friends in prayer.

Again, contact Sue if you wish to include anyone on our prayer list.
