One of the things I love about First Baptist Church Magee is the church’s commitment to prayer. This week is no different.

As campers and leaders head off for a week of spiritual growth and fellowship, the church is asking its members to lift these young people and adults up in prayer each day.

The church is praying especially for the SMACK Campers as they discover how the arts can become an important part of worship. Those attending include Gabe Bulger, Emily Bulger, Timothy Craft, Emily Craft, Riley Rose Rayman, Penelope Holifield, Julie Anne Lee, Eva Maddox, Maely Maddox, Scarlet May, Laura May, and Lance Word.

Prayers are also being requested for the Super Summer Campers, asking God to help them grow deeper in their faith and become true followers of Jesus Christ. Those attending are Thomas Jones, Maddie Maddox, Karlee McWilliams, Gervin Martinez, Will Brown, and Charlie White.

A week at camp is often a life-changing experience. Friendships are formed, faith is strengthened, and hearts are opened to God’s calling. Just as importantly, the dedicated leaders who invest their time and energy in these students need our prayers as they guide, encourage, and minister throughout the week.

If you know one of these campers or leaders, take a moment to say a prayer for them. Pray for safe travels, meaningful worship, lasting friendships, and that each person returns home encouraged and strengthened in their walk with Christ.

Please join the First Baptist Church Magee family in covering these campers and leaders in prayer throughout the week. Those prayers may make a difference that lasts a lifetime.
