Election turnouts were at a all time high for Simpson County during the previous election.
Election Commissioner Chairman, Price Wallace met before the board of Supervisors Tuesday, during their regular scheduled meeting to report on the success the poll workers experienced with the tablets that were purchased for the election.
Every poll worker seemed to be pleased with the tablets and the wait time decreased with the use of these products.
Tablets were purchased for each voting precincts.
Some precincts encounter more voters than others. Mr. Wallace asked the board to consider purchasing 4 more tablets to put in the areas that had larger voter turnouts. The board voted to purchase the tablets. With these extra tablets the lines in the larger areas should not be a problem in the future.
