Phil Hardwick, an award-winning columnist for the Ms Business Journal and mystery novel author, participated in a Zoom interview.

I became interested in Phil Hardwick after reading several of his articles in the MS Business Journal.  About a week ago, he wrote about ideas for small businesses.  His ideas were creative and new.    I always like to think outside the box and enjoy when I find someone who does also.

Good News! Cleaners coming to Magee!

February 9, 2026

Early in life, he realized the power of literature as he read from the Progressive Farmer and the Reader’s Digest to his illiterate grandfather.  When Hardwick was in the 11th grade his teacher told him he was a born writer …that encouragement set him on a path of words.

Phil has been in real estate, law enforcement, college professor, and of course a writer!

He is the author of “Mississippi Mysteries Series,” a beautiful set of books, each set in and promoting a Mississippi town.  (Wish we could do this for Magee!)

Phil retired in 2019 as Director of Business Analysts at Millsaps College Else School of Management.  He and his wife moved to Georgia to be closer to their family and of course, grandchildren!

I believe you will enjoy the interview.  I am striving to bring people to MageeNews from all over the state to broaden our horizons! (Ha)

If there is someone you would like for me to interview, just email me the name!
