Tuesday, February 6th, Perry Parker, who is seeking the position of US House of Representative District 3, stopped by MageeNews for a visit and chat!

Perry is new to politics and new to me. Although I did not know Parker, I had read his impressive and unique resume’. Perry lives in Seminary. He grew up in Sumerall and has strong ties to the Collins area.

Parker graduated in three years from USM and received his MBA from the University of Chicago. Perry worked in Chicago trading cattle futures and commodities.
“I’ve always called Seminary home…no matter where I worked,” stated Parker. My background has uniquely prepared me for the position in the US House,” Perry added.

Perry and his brother Ted founded The National Bank based in Hattiesburg which now employs over 500 people and has branches from Baton Rouge to Tallahassee.

When Gregg Harper made the decision not to run for reelection, the position opened for a US Representative District 3. Parker discussed his lack of name recognition. “Will they know my name…will they know I am a businessman?”

Perry Parker is on the road! He wants to meet everyone! His plans are to visit all 23 counties in the next two weeks. I’m just saying, that is going to be one tired man!
Check out the videos. Perry Parker may offer just what you are looking for in a congressman.

MageeNews.com appreciates Perry Parker taking time to visit a small town business with a world wide reach.
