Dalton McGovern, candidate for Republican Sheriff of Simpson County, has withdrawn from the race. According to Circuit Clerk Steve Womack, McGovern withdrew his name today.
With McGovern resigning, Paul Mullins becomes the nominee as the Republican candidate for Sheriff of Simpson County.
John Stanley, who was seeking the position of Board of Supervisors District 5, has resigned.
