The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Hebrews 10:23: “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He, Who promised, is faithful.” Yes, the gospel writer wanted to reassure early Christian converts that our only hope lies in Christ Jesus. He promised hope to His followers, and we are often reminded in Scripture that without hope, we’re of all people most miserable. Therefore, let us not grow weary in our work for the Lord, because we know that a crown awaits the faithful, the ones who stay the course and complete the race. Let us resolve by saying, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Amen!
