Highway 49 north bound traffic was routed by Simpson County Lake and allowed back onto the highway at the road near the dam.  Emergency personal from the county and cities were on hand to assist. Due to the leakage of propane, DEQ was contacted. Until DEQ arrived and completed the survey of the accident, the body nor truck could be moved. At 1:00 PM DEQ was still not on the scene.

Before the propane was secured, all lanes of traffic were stopped. The south bound lane was reopened to a one lane status. Traffic was back-up in both directions for hours.

The propane truck was not moved until about 7:00 PM Tuesday night.  When the truck was being moved, another leak developed but emergency personal were able to plug the leak.

Details of the wreck are not available at this time.  Below is a live interview from the scene.  The interview may be shared from MageeNews.com Facebook page.
