The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Romans 8:38-39: “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.” Amen! The apostle here assures the early Christians that they are secure once they commit their lives to Christ. The love of God will then cover them forever. As His children, our commitment is key, however. We must trust God to keep His promises by being obedient. The Word of God for the people of God; thanks be to God.
Let us go about our daily rounds today and share love, joy, and kindness with others–that same love, joy, and kindness God shares so freely with us, His children. We have the power to lift someone’s sagging spirit with a kind word, a smile, or a simple gesture of appreciation. Hide the negativity under a bushel since we know the source of it. Banish it!
