The Board of Aldermen voted to amend the existing City Curfew at their regular meeting Tuesday night, April 8, 2020.

The curfew will be in effect beginning Thursday (9th) from 10 PM to 6 AM.  Breaking  the curfew is enforceable with a fine up to $500 and or 30 days in jail.  Mayor Berry explained anyone out during those times who is going to work will need  a letter proving where they work or a name badge.  The police are mainly concerned with foot traffic within the city.

The curfew does not apply to the highways.
