WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Natchez Campus in currently under the leadership of a familiar face. Retired Co-Lin President Dr. Ronnie Nettles is serving in an interim role as the Vice President of the Natchez Campus until a permanent Vice President can be hired. Dr. Nettles took over as Interim Vice President following the departure of Dr. Sandra Barnes who is now at Alcorn State University.

Although Dr. Nettles has no plans to stay on for the role long term, he is no stranger to the Natchez Campus and the Miss-Lou community, having served as Dean of the Natchez Campus from 1997-2004 before serving as Co-Lin president from 2008-2018.

“It feels good to be back on campus at a place I have long called home, even if it is only temporarily,” said Dr. Nettles. “I am most looking forward to working alongside Dr. Middleton and the rest of the Co-Lin team as we look for ways to better serve our students and community.”

Co-Lin President Dr. Dewayne Middleton knew Dr. Nettles was the right person to assist the college during this time of transition.

“Dr. Nettles is devoted to Co-Lin and serving our students, which is one reason he was the perfect person to fill in as interim Vice President until we are ready to fill the role permanently,” said Dr. Middleton. “I fully trust that Dr. Nettles will lead the campus well given his extensive knowledge, experience, and love of Copiah-Lincoln.”
