Two Simpson County students were among the 32 Copiah-Lincoln Community College students inducted into Mu Alpha Theta during fall ceremonies in Stanley Stewart Fine Arts Auditorium on the college’s Wesson Campus. Simpson County inductees included from left, Logan Prather of Magee and Alex Hamilton of Florence. Mu Alpha Theta is the mathematics honor society for high school and two-year college students. The organization of mathematics clubs serves over 112,000 student members in more than 2,300 schools in the United States and 20 foreign countries. Students must have completed College Algebra and have a 3.0 GPA in all two-year college mathematics courses to receive an invitation for membership.
