Oh Thursday, April 6, 2023, Mrs. Josie Lee Williamson was called to her earthly home to her eternal home of God. She was the daughter of Eula Mae and William McCoy. From that union, six daughters were born.
Mrs. Williamson was born July 13, 1937 in Ashford, AL and was the second oldest of the six siblings.
At an early age, Josie excepted Christ at Algram Rest Baptist Church of Ashford, AL.
Mrs. Williamson was indeed an exceptional woman of God who led an exemplary life. She was a peaceful person who loved God and was devoted to her family. She was married to Navel Office Veteran G. W. Williamson for fifty-four years.
Proceeded in death by G. W. Williamson, sons Gene Williamson, Anthony Williamson, mother Eula Mae McCoy and father Willian McCoy and sister Pearl Mae Williams.
Those who are left to remember and cherish her beautiful life are eight daughters: Joyce McKay, Betty Birdsong, Gail (Lewis) Tuenbo, Linda (Mike) Lockhart, Gena Williamson, Jo Lynn Henegan, Kelly Apodaca, Kristy Williamson (of Des Moines, Iowa), sones Randy Williamson and Eugene Williamson JoWilliamson and four sisters: Doris Thomas, Betty L. Kelly, Pearl Carter, and Edna Lee (Kent) Lee. A host of adorable grandchildren and loving great grand grandchildren, and amazing great-great- great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nephews, cousins, and very close friends.
Mother will forever be remembered by those who dearly loved her and those whose lives she deeply touched as an unselfish, thoughtful, God fearing, and loving woman of God.
