Melva Jean (Stringer) Beatty, age 97, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021. She was born on April 28, 1923, to Henry T. Stringer and Dovie Mae (Martin) Stringer.
She is survived by her sons, Don Beatty, Mitchell Beatty, Randy Beatty; brother, Haskell Stringer; grandchildren, Drew Beatty, John Beatty, Jamie Beatty (Katelyn), Patrick Beatty, Amy Clark (Michael), Eli Beatty (Jamie); great-children, Liam Clark, Toby Clark, Ella Beatty, Madison Beatty and Beau Beatty.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude Newton Beatty; son, Joe Beatty; sisters, Buradell Kittrell and Irma Doris Stringer James.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Tutor Chapel with Bro. Buddy Keys officiating. Interment will follow in New Good Hope Cemetery in Pulaski, MS.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
