Mrs. Cecil Louella Ware Rankin, 89, of Magee, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at her home with her family beside her. She was born Thursday, February 24, 1927 in Magee.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Kennedy Springs.  Burial will follow in Kennedy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Bro Michael Giles, Bro Roger Lee and Bro Charles Ray Burnham will officiate.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 5:30 PM until 8:30 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee and 9:00AM Thursday until service time at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cecil loved her Lord, her family and life. She was married to her husband Nelson Rankin for 59 years They were blessed with five kids, numerous grandkids, great-grandkids and a great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her, husband Jasper Nelson Rankin, Children, Steve Rankin, Aline Winstead, and James Rankin, Parents, Dan and Ina Ware, and Second Mother Katie Ware,

Survivors include her, Sons, Carnell Rankin (Lisa), Magee, Clinton Rankin (Mabel), Magee, 11 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-great Grand Children; sisters, Maggie Benton and Loree Thames and a host of other family members.

Pallbearers will be John Rankin, Michael Rankin, Brandon Garner, Dylan Rankin, William Adcox, and Rusty Brown.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Hart, Hunter Watts, Jack Barrentine, Daniel Rankin, Brian Garner, and Dillon Rayner.
