Everyone has a favorite someone in their lives that make a difference. I have 3 favorite Uncles that live in the mountains of North Carolina that I rarely get to see. This is my heart and soul of my childhood memories from my father’s family in North Carolina. As a young girl in a new land, my Uncle Carson would tease me of rolling down the mountain and falling off, drinking crystal clear water that came straight out of the dirty mountain side, and to why the mountain cows legs were shorter on one side than the other (so they wouldn’t fall off the mountain). My Uncle Carson is a man filled full of the Gospel. He is the Pastor of Goldmine Baptist Church in Franklin, N.C. where I’ve only experienced one of his sermons. He leads his congregation with a heart full of God’s love like no other I have experienced. I will always hold dear in my heart, sitting at my Dad’s grave, my Uncle Carson gave me a hug that lasted forever. I knew then it would all be ok.
