JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Farmers Market has announced the return of its Thursday Summer Markets, offering shoppers even more opportunities to buy fresh, local products directly from Mississippi farmers and producers. “By adding Thursday Markets, the Mississippi Farmers Market is giving our community another opportunity to shop for healthy, locally sourced produce,” said Mississippi Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson. “It’s a win for both our farmers and the families who value access to fresh, safe and affordable food.”

Thursday Markets at the Mississippi Farmers Market provide a midweek option for shoppers unable to visit on Saturdays while also supporting local farmers and small businesses through additional exposure and sales opportunities. Customers can expect to find a variety of fruits and vegetables, meat products, honey, eggs and more available for purchase.

The Farmers Market Café, located inside the Mississippi Farmers Market, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every weekday and 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Saturday. For daily menu schedules, visit the Farmers Market Café on Facebook. The Genuine MS® Store, also located inside the Mississippi Farmers Market, is open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Saturday.

“The Mississippi Farmers Market is not only a great place to find fresh produce, it’s a great lunch spot too,” continued Commissioner Gipson. “Whether you are grabbing a hot meal from the Café or picking up unique Mississippi-made specialty foods from the Genuine MS® Store, there is something for everyone to enjoy during the week.”

The Mississippi Farmers Market, a division of the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce, is open 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Saturday and on select Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For additional information about the Mississippi Farmers Market, visit www.msfarmersmarket.com or follow the Mississippi Farmers Market on Facebook, Instagram and X.
