Michele Dawson Stevens, 58, of Pearl, Mississippi, passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Monday, August 23, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, March 28, 1963, in Jackson, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 27, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi, with her uncle, Minister Steve Purvis officiating. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401
Michele was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church of Madison, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, “Mimi” to her grandchildren, daughter, sister, and friend. She enjoyed baking, riding motorcycles, reading, crafting, gardening, swimming, and most of all spending time with her grandkids. She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Dawson and Frances Duncan Dawson; and one brother, Bruce Dawson.
Survivors include her loving husband of thirty-eight years, Steve Stevens of Pearl; two children, Kelly Rineheart and her husband, Kenneth, of Pearl, and David Stevens of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, David, Gage, Hannah, and Ryker, all of Pearl; one sister, Dawn Barrett and her husband, Chris, of Tylertown; one brother, Randy Dawson and his wife, Sandy Frazier, of Birmingham, AL; sister-in-law, Renee Covington and her husband, Wes, of Pearl; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Barrett, Chris Barrett, Kip Barrett, Grey Dawson, Jerry Logan, and David Oxborrow.
