Magee High School Trojan Athletic Banquet was held Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church Magee.

Former Head Coach Danny Cowart was the evening guest speaker.  Cowart was accompanied by his two sons, Ian and Sam, who were also former Magee High School Football players. Cowart lead the Trojans to a State Championship win during the 1997-1998 school year.

After a great motivated speech, the awards were presented starting with Cheerleaders. Bailey Williams, Cheer Coach, recognized all seniors and presented them gifts. Spirit award went to Kadin Adcox. Most Improved was Laniyan Whittington. Trojan award was presented to Chloe White.

Ken Carter, Magee High School Coach, presented the football awards. Coach Carter recognized all players.  The seniors were awarded gifts. 1st Team All Region was Mac Anderson, Jaden Chatman, Jsoh Sanders and Chandler Pittman. 2nd Team All District was Dyquan Lockhart, Chaz Lofton, Taylor McGuire, and Jalen Franks.  Honorable Mention was Tray Haynes, Brayden Lambert, Matthew Thurman, Eric Thorman, Jermond Winn, Brooklyn May, Chase Rankin and Jalyn Lee.

Offensive Line award was Mac Anderson.

Defensive Line award was Dyquan Lockhart

Wide Receiver award was Jaden Chatman

Defensive Back award was Jalyn Lee

Offensive Back award was Chandler Pittman

Linebacker award was Josh Sanders

Special Team Awards was Sam Rials

Scholar Athlete was Mac Anderson

Team Captains were Mac Anderson and Jaden Chatman

Offensive MVP was awarded to Chandler Pittman.

Defensive MVP was awarded to Josh Sanders

Overall MVP award went to Jaden Chatman

Chain Gang Award is awarded to an outstanding Sophomore each year and this years recipient was Josh Sanders.

Special thanks was given to the Touchdown Club for all their hard work during the year and for hosting the banquet.
