Dear Mendenhall High School Parents:
The SCSD is working with the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office investigating a shooting threat reported this afternoon. The threat was received via Snapchat and reported to authorities by the student’s parents.
Although it is upsetting to hear of this kind of threat in our school, we are committed to providing a safe educational environment for your children. Although all SCSD schools will be open tomorrow, as a precaution, Mendenhall police officers and Simpson County Sheriff’s Office deputies will be on campus at Mendenhall High School tomorrow, September 25, 2018.
