Melissa Lynn Welborn, 56, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 in Harrisville, MS. She was born on December 9, 1958 to her parents, the late Robert L. Rainer and Olline (Richardson) Rainer.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Welborn; sons, Chris Dwayne Thames, Wesley Yount; daughter, Rachael Rorie; brothers, Mike Rainer, Howard Rainer, Walter Rainer, Richard Rainer, Bobby Rainer; sisters, Vickie Lott, Linda Gayle May, Jane Chappell and seven grandchildren.
Melissa was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Alecia Yount.
Melissa was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, step-mother, grandmother (MeMe), and friend. She had a deep love of life, a close relationship with God, and she never met a stranger. She most enjoyed spending time with her husband, Greg, and their family and friends. One of Melissa’s greatest joys was the children in her life. Melissa never met a child that she couldn’t love with every piece of her heart. From her nieces and nephews to her grandchildren, she loved being around them, spending time with them, playing with them, and spoiling them as only she could.
Melissa was also very active and hard working. After retiring from Milwaukee Tool, she went to work for Terminix and was in her 17th year of employment with them. She loved her job and took great pride in doing it well. Her favorite part of her job was the relationships she gained thru her co-workers and her customers. She loved each of them and thought of them as she did her own friends and family.
Melissa also enjoyed spending time fishing, traveling, being outdoors doing yard work or gardening, keeping her home well kept, and her husband well cared for.
Truly a blessing to any life she became a part of, she had so much love to give and everyone felt it each time they were in her presence. She was always an angel to us, and now she is an angel watching over us. She will be greatly missed.
