Melissa (Collins) Lewis, age 67, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021, at her home in Magee, MS. She was born to Donald H. Collins and Dorothy (Bains) Collins on November 21, 1953, in Lewisburg, Tennessee.
After graduating from Wingfield High School in Jackson, MS, she later attended Mississippi State University and The University of Alabama. Melissa was a travel agent for twenty-five years. Her family has owned and operated the local Dairy Queen in Magee, MS for many years. She was a hard worker who spent her free time with family and friends. To her grandchildren, she was affectionally known as Gigi.
She is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, John Lewis; sons, Jay Lewis (Fangzhau), Neil Lewis (Tara); sister, Donna Madsen (Fred) and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
There are no services planned at this time.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
