Melinda Ila Robbins Stanford
Melinda Ila Robbins Stanford, 68, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, surrounded by her husband and children. She was born on April 9, 1956, in San Francisco, California, to the late Charles “Wink” Winston Robbins and Iva Fay Wheeler Robbins. A devoted follower of Christ, Melinda found great joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. She dedicated many years to serving in various ministries of the church. Melinda was a loving homemaker and caregiver, as well as a dedicated insurance agent for over 20 years, working with Nationwide and other companies.
Melinda is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Greg Stanford; children, Nathan Stanford (Brandy), Elizabeth Stanford, and Hannah Wisdom (Bryan); sisters, Laura Beck (Jim) and Lisa Sullivan (Charles); brothers, Mark Robbins (Diane) and Phillip Robbins (Carol); and grandchildren, Maddie Stanford, Jack Stanford, Aaron Wisdom, Ben Stanford, Lydia Wisdom, Evie Stanford, and Caleb Wisdom; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Paul Stanford, and her in-laws, Mansol and Pauline Stanford.
The family will receive friends at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel. Pastor Tom Kaplan will be officiating.
Another service will also take place at Trahan Family Funeral Home in Milton, Florida, on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM, with visitation from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Serenity Gardens. Pastor Doug Holmes will be officiating.
