Median crossover CLOSURE on U.S. 49 in Simpson County 

WHO:         Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).

WHAT:        Median crossover CLOSURE.

WHEN:        Indefinitely, starting Wednesday, July 9.

WHERE:      The crossover located at the intersection of U.S. 49 and State Route 540 in Simpson County.

WHY:           As part of a project on U.S. 49 in Simpson County, the crossover will be permanently closed to through traffic to improve highway safety.

Motorists should be on high alert for roadside workers.
