Virginia Mullins of Mendenhall (seated left) is the recipient of the John William “Bill” McGuire Scholarship presented by the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Foundation. The scholarship was established in memory of McGuire by his family and is awarded to a returning sophomore who lives in the Co-Lin district with a minimum 3.0 GPA, has completed at least eight hours of laboratory science (not to include general biology), and demonstrates financial need. On hand for the presentation were Shelley Curtis (seated right) and Co-Lin Foundation Board member Bradley Smith. Scholarship donors and recipients were honored at the Co-Lin Foundation 15th annual scholarship reception held at The Thames Center on the Wesson Campus. The Co-Lin Foundation provides almost $200,000 in scholarships to over 150 Co-Lin students.
