On September 8, 2021 at approximately 10:47pm, Magee Police Officers responded to shots fired into a residence in the Goodwater Community. Numerous bullet holes and projectiles were found in the residence.

Witnesses identified the shooter as 48-year-old Mark McDonald aka Mark Walker. McDonald was confirmed to be a convicted Felon in numerous states, including Mississippi.

On September 9, 2021 at approximately 4:49pm Magee Officers, K-9 Officer, and Investigators were able to locate Mark McDonald at his residence where he briefly fled on foot. Moments later McDonald was arrested and booked for “Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling”.

McDonald is currently at the Magee Police Department with a $100,000” Bond.

On behalf of the entire Magee Police Department, Chief Chris Jones would like to thank the witnesses for coming forward. The Publics ever-increasing support allows the Police Department to better serve our community.
