Margaret Patton, Ellisville, MS
Margaret Ruth Shoemaker Patton, 77, passed peacefully at Jones County Rest Home, Ellisville, MS. on December 16, 2019.

Mrs. Patton was a native of the Martinville community in Simpson County. She was a Graduate of Mendenhall High School and Draughn’s Business College. She loved to play the piano, sew, crochet, garden, and taking care of her pets. Mrs. Patton was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Brandon, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jefferson Shoemaker, Jr. and Emma Lola (Blair) Shoemaker of Mendenhall, MS; husband Oris (Red) Patton of Springer, OK; a sister; Sherry Lynn Shoemaker and a grandson, Michael Bush of Florence MS.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Patton of Gainesville, FL. and Donna Bush and husband Allen of Ellisville, MS; two sisters, Mattie Holiday of Beaumont TX. and Janet Shoemaker of Pearl, Ms; Six grandchildren, Faith Holman and husband David of Fayetteville, AR, Sarah Broom and husband Kevin of Ellisville, MS, Wade Bush and wife Anna of Flowood, MS, Jared Bush of Ellisville, MS, Maggie Bush of Ellisville, MS, and Jack Bush of Ellisville, MS; three great-grandchildren, Ellie Holman, Selah Holman, and Blakely Broom, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Lone Star Baptist Church, Ellisville, MS. from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 19, 2019, at 10:00 am. at Lone Star Baptist Church Ellisville, MS. with burial following at New Home Cemetery in Simpson County. Eld. Brent Long and Eld. Wade Bush will officiate the service.

Pallbearers will be Randy Holiday, Johnny Ellis, Kevin Broom, Steve Wade, Earl Brown, and Ricky Mayes.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
