Mayor Dale Berry came in studio Monday, July 29, to give us the news involving sales tax collection for the city of Magee. For fiscal year 2018-2019 the city collected $2,228,354 in sales tax putting Magee ranked 48th in the state. The only city between Jackson and the Coast that takes in more sales tax than Magee is Hattiesburg and Richland. The news is great as more money means more improvements to hopefully come to the city. You can see a list below of some other cities in our area and compare their tax collection to Magee.
