MAGEE HIGH SOCCER BEGINS 2018-19 SEASON
Magee High School Boys and Girls Soccer Teams kicked off their season with the First Goal Banquet on October 29th. Athletic Director Teddy Dyess inspired the parents and players in attendance as the lead speaker for the evening. He focused on Character and Excellence which is a part of the new soccer crest. He encouraged the players to make decisions that would not hurt their team but decisions that would make a positive impact in the school and community. All in attendance were excited about the announcement of new uniforms that have been purchased. In addition, the players were surprised with new dri fit shirts.
Coach Wendt is the head coach of the girls and boys teams. The boys look to build on last year’s district championship and the girls look to move from 2nd last year to 1st in the district. The schedule is a daunting one with the addition of non-conference teams West Jones, Wesson and Poplarville. However, the 2018-19 Trojans are ready for the challenge. If you have never attended a soccer game, please make plans to come support these very hard working student athletes.
