Magee General Hospital Announces Renovation
Magee General Hospital is excited to announce a face-lift of its emergency department. This renovation, which involves new flooring, counter tops, and wall coverings, is designed to update and freshen the emergency department in a manner to make it more welcoming.
As CEO Amy Tolliver stated, “Over the years, our Emergency Department has seen tremendous growth, and the resulting wear and tear on our facilities necessitated this renovation. We are extremely grateful to our donors and to HealthTrust, whose financial support made these renovations possible.”
During the renovation period, which is expected to last approximately three weeks, the emergency department will be temporarily re-located to the north wing of the hospital. The emergency department entrance for both the ambulance and for walk-in patients, as well as registration and triage, will be located adjacent to the north wing of the hospital for ease of patient access. Additional signs placed around the campus will redirect patients to the temporary entrance.
Despite the move, the Magee General Hospital emergency department will remain open 24/7, with no interruption in access or disruption of services.
