At approximately 7:47 P.M., January 7, 2020, Magee Fire Department was dispatched to 270 C Stringer RD for an RV/ Motor Home Fire. Responding units arrived on the scene at 7:57 P.M. and found a large RV /Motor Home fully involved underneath a metal lean-to shed. Firefighters used two 1.75″ hose lines to attack the fire. Once the fire was under control, two reel hose lines were deployed to cool the hot spots and to apply foam to the vehicle so that the fire could not rekindle/reignite. Fire was deemed under control at 8:23 P.M. Magee Fire Department had 4 apparatus’ and 12 personnel on scene. Other emergency agencies on scene were the Simpson County Sheriff’s Department and Station 7 Fire Department.
At approximately 12:10 P.M., January 8, 2020.  Magee Fire Department was dispatched to 731 Hwy 49 for a Grass/Brush Fire. Responding units arrived on scene at 12:18 P.M. and found an area of approximately 2.5 acres that had burned and was continuing to grow.   Firefighters used a booster line from Engine 5 and back pack blower to extinguish the fire.  The Mississippi Forestry Commission was contacted to plow around the area to keep the fire from potentially reigniting and expanding out any further. Fire was deemed under control at 12:34 P.M. Magee Fire Department had 2 apparatus’ and 6 personnel on scene.
