The 7-0 Magee Trojans traveled to West Marion Friday, October 11, 2019 to take on West Marion. The game was the battle of the Trojans. Both mascots for the schools are Trojans. Both teams entered the game undefeated with 7-0 records.
Most action was seen in the first half. West Marion scored first in the first quarter on a 1-yard run. The point after attempt was no good. Second quarter Magee found the end zone on a quarter back keeper 6-yard touchdown run by Chandler Pittman. The Point after attempt by Sam Rials was good. Magee led by a score of 7-6. West Marion wasted on time to answer. Larry Magee for West Marion scored on a 15-yard run. The two-point conversion was no good. West Marion was on top by a score of 12-7 to end the first half.
Second half proved to be a defensive game for both teams. No scoring was made during the second half. Magee had the ball when time expired.
West Marion was victorious giving Magee their first lost of the season with a score of 12-7. Magee will concentrate on the lost and make the needed adjustments. Magee will be back in action Friday, October 18, 2019 for a homecoming game against Tylertown.
