Magee Soccer boys traveled four hours to North Pontotoc to take on the Vikings in the first round of playoff’s.
Magee would score first with a goal from Mason Curlee. Pontotoc would answer with a goal with a minute left before half. Score was tied 1-1 at half.
With only a few minutes left in the second half it looked as if the teams would go into over time with a tied score. Pontotoc would make sure that would not happen.
With a minute left the viking would score a goal and seal the win. Final score was 2-1.
Magee soccer has come a long way. More and more students are beginning to show an interest in the game. Several students from Magee have gone to play college ball. With continue support, Magee seems to have several, younger, talented kids playing the game. If you have not taken the time to watch a soccer game, do so. Next year come out and support these athletes as they compete.
Seniors, thank you for the leadership you have shown to your underclassmen.
Congratulations boys and coaches on yet another great season……..
