Mayor Berry reminded everyone about the Kyle Petty event to take place in Magee Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. Kyle Petty and approximately 150 motorcycles will be stopping at Love’s in Magee. Public is invited to attend.
Farmer’s Market is set to open Saturday, May 26, 2019. Applications are available at City Hall.
Burger King has paid fees to the City of Magee. Construction is expected to begin mid June. Another restaurant has shown interest in locating downtown Magee.
Governor Phil Bryant has recognized May 6-10 as hurricane preparedness week. All residents are encouraged to have a survival pack ready batteries, blankets, can food, and water.
The board approved for a tree to be planted in a designated spot located next to the fire station in memory of Dustin Grubbs.
The splash pad is repaired and ready for operation. The pad will be open during week days and Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Asphalt bids were approved J & L was the low bid. Blain & Co would be used as an alternate if needed. Asphalting should began shortly on designated street. MageeNews.com, City of Magee website and facebook page and other media outlets will update what date which street are being asphalted.
