Mayor Clyde advised the board the Highway Patrol had selected the third Wednesday of each month to be the day for renewing driver license in Magee.

A representative with turf grass met with the board to explain artificial turf grass and how it can save money. Pros and Cons were discussed to give the board an overview on if this is something they might be interested in investing in at the Sports Complex. A decision if to proceed forward will be discussed in a future meeting. This was just information gathering at this time.

Chief Randy Crawford approached the board with the request to retire Jade the drug dog. The decision was to retire her and enter as surplus property and donate Jade to her owner. Chief also asked if the board would approve to purchase a new drug dog. The police department has funds of $7500.00 and would only need $2500.00 from the city. The board approved this purchase.

Chief Crawford also approached the board about purchasing 15 rifle vest for the police department. These would be worn only in high alert situation like an active shooter, etc. These vest weight approximately 25 pounds and would be worn over the bullet proof vest they presently wear now. The board will agreed to take the vest under consideration and discuss at next board meeting.

The board approved to change the speed limit on the road in front of the Coop to 15 mph.  This speed limit will be enforced.

Business was adjourned to go into executive session to discuss emergency matters.
